I recently had an ovarian dermoid cyst removed. Do I really need to wait a full month before having sex?
The surgery was laprascopic – the tumor was about 4 cm. I feel mostly recovered and am not entirely sure why gentle, protected sex would be dangerous 2-3 weeks post-surgery.
I’m curious as to the reasoning BEHIND why I was told a month, as I’ve heard other doctors give a time frame of 2-3 weeks. Why is it that gentle, protected sex would be dangerous?
Yeah, I don’t know why doctors would know anything about healing times or anything! I mean, really.
How about increased blood flow, pressure, dilation, stress, trauma?
Give it a rest…a month isn’t that long; ask any married guy.
