IBS or pain from ovarian cyst?
I went to my OB/GYN because of horrible stabbing pains near my left ovary. He did an ultrasound and found a 3cm cyst on my right ovary. Now he wants me to go to a stomach specialist to see if anything else like IBS is causing the pain on my left side before doing surgery. Could IBS be causing this pain or the cyst even if it’s on the right ovary. I thought IBS felt like horrible gas pains. Not stabbing pains in one spot.
Also, can anyone tell me about the surgery to remove ovarian cysts? Was it painful? How long were you in the hospital?
I’ve also been bleeding since the pain started. I’m not sure if that’s from my IUD that I got in or the cyst.
Your OB is sending you to another person because that is what your insurance requires more than likely. The cyst alone is enough to cause the pain, unless you are constipated and then have diarrhea, then he would send you but the outcome is still the same.
Surgery is outpatient, no its not painful except the drugs leave your body. Youre up and around in a day or so.
I hope you get your body healthy soon, its the only thing that works or youll just be on medication your whole life. Email me if you need help getting healthy.
