Birth Control Side Effects?

Any ladies here ever had any side effects from birth control? Like, any? Depression, weight gain, spotting, heavy periods, cramps, mood swings, ovarian cysts? Anything? How was it? Are you happy with birth control? What pill are you using? Is this the first pill you tried?
Even if you had no side effects at all, lemme know.

I started taking birth control pills (ortho evra tricyclen) when I was 16 (now 20). I took them for about 2 weeks, I had VERY heavy bleeding and clots. It was horrible (for me at least). But the good thing that it did was that it made my periods regular. Before I started taking them my period only came on once every two months. But, every person is different, some women may not have the same side effects like I did & some may have them worse. Good luck =)
I’ve been taking Depo for three years. I have heard some pretty awful things about Depo. I haven’t experienced any of them. I have gained 10 pounds in three years. I don’t think that’s too awful. My periods have stopped completely. That is great. I haven’t had to be on any meds for my migraines either. I haven’t found anything that I don’t like about it. It is supposed to cause bone loss. I have been taking the extra calcium that my doctor recomended and my last bone scan was fine. This is the only birth control I have tried. I used it about 10 years ago too and had the same results.
