I took them for about 2 weeks, I had VERY heavy bleeding and clots. It was horrible (for me at least). But the good thing that it did was that it made my periods regular. Before I started taking them my period only came on once every two months. But, every person is different, some women may not have the same side effects like I did & some may have them worse. I have heard some pretty awful things about Depo. I haven't experienced any of them. I have gained 10 pounds in three years. I don't think that's too awful. My periods have stopped completely. That is great. I haven't had to be on any meds for my migraines either. I haven't found anything that I don't like about it. It is supposed to cause bone loss. I have been taking the extra calcium that my doctor recomended and my last bone scan was fine. This is the only birth control I have tried. I used it about 10 years ago too and had the same results.
