    Hi Amie,
This is ridiculas, u mean to say r Dr. didn’t give u antibiotics or even Cream? What a Calus *******! That’s a ver tender area! And back to him I would insist on 1) meds to clear it up 2) work well & 3) for them not appear again! Summer is here and that’s not a time for this B.S. I know he can give you some "strong CreamHydrocordizone" Go back and talk to him, you can’t go to the beach like that, make him understand

You need to go to the doctor before it erupts!!!
I had this problem and I took vicodin but it doesn’t help get rid of them, you need a doctors’ care for that.

GET CHECKED RIGHT AWAY !My wife was having a problem with her period w/pain and excessive flow. She had a full exam 2 yrs ago ..normal but last fall, mid Oct. she had a bad one and by the first week of Dec. she was in surgery for ovarian cancer ! It came on so fast and with no real distinguishing symptoms. Get total exam w/ultra sound and a ‘c.a./125 blood test that screens for ovarian cancer. She’s doin’ ok now and almost done w/chemo. What a nightmare w/’health ins’. !

See a doctor. Do you know what your cysts are caused by?

If its poly cystic ovaries, quite often a drug called metformin can be perscribed. IT ehalps to keep your sugar in balance, which is proven to reduce the size of cysts.

If they are causing you pain and an ultrsound shows they are bigger than 50mm, they will operate to remove them.

    I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome..
Sometimes yes the cysts hurt a lot, but i am one not to take medication so i use a hot wheat pack or water bottle. Other things you could do is have a hot bath.
Otherwise some mild pain killers will help, also i know it might sound harsh but some gentle exercise helps too.

I am sorry you have to go through that, I know how you feel.
I’m in the same boat!! Hate it! I try the heating pad and take vicodin for pain but ofcourse that doesn’t help longterm. I would tell you try different types of birthcontrol and see which one fits best. I’ve tried a few but decided to try to get pregnant. They say that can help as well *who knows* I’m tired of trying new things but I have to be positive and believe one day I will be healed and pain free.
Drink HOT tea, and lay down if possible. God Bless!!
If you need to talk email me.

If you are taking birth control pills monthly and then still having a period it may give your body time enough to stimulate the follicles and cysts devolop. Try using those 3 month brands of pills so that you don’t have a period for 3 months in a row. Other than that there is really nothing that can prevent them. How is it that you know they are cysts? It could just be that you are passing an egg which can sometimes be very painful until the actual release and then the pain is gone.
