PLEASE!! SOMEONE HELP ME UNDERSTAND THIS?
I went to hosp in May for pain, found out I had Ovarian Cysts. Since then pain stopped. About 2 weeks ago pain came mildly again. Today I went to hosp & doc told me looks like i had a "ruptured" ovarian cyst. What i’m confused about is the fact that my period has been regular "lately" (b/c it was off years ago) but my last one was July 9. i’m late 2 months, been crampy, nausea, vomit, weight gain, fatigue, & i know its too early but my belly has bulged out more in my clothes. I crave breads, ice cream, & create weird condiment mixes like ketchup, mayo, mustard & ranch dressing to eat with my chicken strips. When i took a hpt my homegirl & i both thought we saw a FAINT (very very very) light pink line, but doc did a urine & he said Negative. Vaginal ultrasound showed cysts but they didnt mention if they looked for pregnancy. I read another question where a lady said the cyst were blocking the baby, is that possible? Why do i feel & look preg & my period 2 months late if i’m not??? PLEASE SERIOUS RELIABLE ANSWERS…. I’m lost.. I’m 27 & i would like to have a baby someday.
Cyst can very well cause weight gain, especially causing bloating which can be confused with pregnancy. Ovarian cyst can definitely cause your period to be irregular. I’ve never heard of a cyst blocking a baby – they would most likely have to do a c-section because passing a child through your canal with cyst would be incredibly painful. There is such a thing as an ectopic pregnancy which is when an egg is planted in the fallopian tubes – these usually result in surgery or miscarriage because it could be life threatening to the mother. If your doctor said negative I would sum all the problems up to the cyst. Tests can be wrong, but most of this sounds like the results of having cyst.

try some more tests ( few throughout the week first thing in the morning) or go back to the doctor and get a blood test instead of a urine test
request a blood test its not common but some women don’t show up on urine tests also the blood tests are more accurate you may be pregnant or it may be the cysts acting up. depending on how far you could have been when they did the ultrasound it may not have show up that you are pregnant (if its really early) its possible the cysts could be blocking the view of the baby if they are larger than the baby at that time so i recommend that you ask your dr or go to a hospital or clinic or whatever and request a blood test to be done….good luck and best wishes keep us updated
you may be pregnant even if test say you aren’t I’m not saying you are but you could be take like to more of the most reliable pregnancy tests in the morning your first pee you know how everyone has to pee when they get up well when you do pee on a stick and watch it closely for the entire 3 minutes or however long and then go to a doctor for that kind of thing and have them take like 3 of them take the ultra sound whatever you have to do there are tons of ways to see if you are try them all loll
Believe it or not, doctor’s urine tests are not as sensitive as the home ones that we can buy in the chemist! And usually, if you take the test at the doctors, you are not using your first morning urine, there for the HCG content is not as strong – so often if people are really early in their pregnancy, a doctors urine test will come up negative. I would try again in the morning with a home test with your first morning urine – as this hads the highest concentration of HCG. Good luck!!
