When I get cysts, I also get this pain in the back of my right thigh. Its uncomfortable especially when I am sitting. I am just curious how they cause leg pain
You may be experiencing "referred pain". This is pain that is felt in an area of the body separate from the actual trauma or pathology.
Greatly simplified:
All the nerves in your body originate in your spine http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/7173.html. Nerves from one area of the spine actually go to different sites of your body. When pain is felt in one site, the nerve impulses travel back to the spine and can be sent to the site where there is no trauma. Therefore you have pain in a site where nothing is "wrong".
I have had ovarian cysts all my life. I have been hospitalized twice when they have twisted, burst, and become infected. My cysts caused pain all the way down to my toes.
If you haven’t seen a gynecologist or a good physician about your cysts, please do so. Some of the newer types of birth control claim to help decrease ovarian cysts.
they grow and expand and it is uncomfortable on your legs when they grow or move
If your cyts burst you will not have to worry about pain in your leg. at least you do not have ovarian cancer like me
