About a month ago, I was diagnosed with several ovarian cysts. The pain wasn’t severe, just a few back aches here and there, but today (the start of my period), it is at it’s worst. I don’t think any have ruptured, but the lower part of my back feels inflamed and in so much pain. I can’t sit up and all I’ve been doing is crying. Should I go to the emergency room?
Yes go to the emergency room or call your doctor and get seen immediatley if the cysts did not go down last month then they have likely grown, there is the possibilty that one could have ruptured or gotten so big it has caused the ovary to flip over and cut off it’s blood supply, left untreated this could be life threatening.
You need medical help Ovarian cysts do sometimes rupture
yea u should go to the ER
normally ovarian cysts are not a problem. alot of women have them and dont even know it. but if they become too painful the doctor will decide to operate to remove them. you probably want to make another appt with your dr and discuss this with her/him. In the meantime you can try the normal pain relief measures, heating pad tylenol or motrin or mydol.
