I am concerned about this severe left side lower back and abdominal pain I keep experiencing. It comes every couple of weeks and lasts around 12 hours. It is agony. I am doubled up rolling on the floor and it feels like I am having one long continuous contraction. I had my third baby 5 months ago with just gas and air so I know what pain feels like!! I went to the hospital but they gave my a painkilling injection and told me to see my GP. I went to my GP who referred me back to the hospital for an ultrasound but I have been told I could be waiting weeks for that. When the pain eases I am left feeling battered and bruised internally and my lower abdomen is very tender to the touch. Could this be cysts?

She visited her doctor and doctor said, it will be OK. Nothing wrong, we only want to know, how long she will feel that pain (not serious pain) Thank you for your answers and don´t worry… I love my wife

When I was 13 I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts. I was put on a birth control which solved the problem. That was 14 years ago. I’ve gotten married and had two children since then. About 9 months after having my second child, I started getting my period every two weeks. I get cramps that are so bad that it makes me throw up and basically unable to function. I get my period for 5-7 days every two weeks and it’s extrememly heavy with heavy clotting. And about 2-3 days before I get my period I get SERIOUSLY emotional and annoyed. Like I can’t tolerate anyone or anything and I’m normally a very tolerant person. My great grandmother had a hysterectomy at 26, my grandmother had a hysterectomy at 35, and my mother had a hysterectomy at 39. I made an appt. at the gyn. but I’m afraid of what they’re going to tell me. Has anyone gone through anything similar? I’m also afraid that they’re going to put me back on a birth control which will cause me to gain weight. I’m 27 and it is EXTREMELY hard for me to lose weight. I gained 68lbs with my first child and 30 with my second. I’ve finally dropped 30lbs, but it was terribly hard. I just don’t want it to be any harder than it already is.

Hi. I am very suspicious that I have an ovarian cyst. I had one a year ago and it disapeared. This time my symptoms are exactly the same. Irregualr periods, pain in breasts, acne….etc. Can a cyst cause pain in your sciatic nerve? I can’t sleep at night because its so uncomfortable. The pain is mostly in my rear (right side)

I have no insurance, so i cant afford to go to the doctor right now to find out. But here are a few symptoms i am having:
Weight gain
No period for 3 months
Blurred vision at times
I have been to the free clinic in my home town, but they cant determine that sort of advance care. But they did a pregnacy test and the results were negative. so i know that that’s not what it is.
Im really not sure what to do. What are the symptoms of the cyst? any information is greatly appreciated.

I have had my period now for eight years and I used to be pretty irregular. Within the past two years, it has become more normal, with a few exceptions. I usually go around 35 days between each period, and my period usually lasts about 5 or 6 days.
In February, I started my period on the 15th and it lasted around 5 days. Then, in March, it came early. It came on March 2nd and lasted 6 days. And now I haven’t had a period since. I don’t know what is going on, and i know i’m not pregnant. I have never had sex before.
My twin sister has had problems with an ovarian cyst for the past two years. She has experienced pain with her cyst. One of her first symptoms was a very irregular cycle. I haven’t experienced any extreme pain, though. I have a slight (and i mean SLIGHT) pain in my left abdomen occasionally, but that is all. I’ve been experiencing ovulation pains for the last week or so. (Slight cramps, water retention, etc.) Should I be concerned?

I became anorexic back in 2002 and haven’t had a period since then. However, I have made the effort to gain some weight since then. Last Sunday my panties had blood all over them. I started jogging 45 min-to an hour a day but my pants feel snug. I thought it was just muscle. I get dizzy spells, I’m emotional, and my stomach is always growling. I also found out I have ovarian cysts(could that be the problem?). I have no insurance so I went to the planned parenthood and the preg. test, came back negative but they want me to take another test in 2 weeks. I thought I couldn’t get pregnant but the nurse said I could still ovulate. I’m so scared! My boyfriend and I want children, but now is just not the right time. I’m a cocaine addict and have only been off drugs for about 2 weeks(what damaged could I have done to my baby?). Could it be pregnancy? I’m so, so scared.

I had my first period when I was 11 years old and it was regular for one year. Between ages 12 and 17 it was irregular with periods every 1 to 1.5 months. In high school it became more irregular and the doctor said it is normal during high school due to study stress. After high school the same problem existed till now. I am 27 years old and I still have periods every 2 to 3 months and sometimes it is more. I used pills before and they work but I gain weight (not from eating) and sometimes if I use them for more than two consecutive cycles I start having short breaths and get tired very quick. I have tried different medications but all will have side effects such as vomiting and dizziness. I had checked for hormones, ovarian cysts,..etc. and everything looks OK. My height=5’2” and my weight is 162 lb. I have a healthy diet and even though I gain weight when I do not use pills and do not have a period. I am trying to conceive now and would like to have a regular period. Please Help.

I know from hearing other people’s apendicitis stories that usually if it’s your appendix, it will hurt if you press and release in that area. Also I read that if you stand on your tip toes and then slam down on your heels it will hurt if it’s your appendix. I’ve done both of these things and there is no pain when I do that. Also, I do not have a fever, I have not been nauseated and the pain eases up when I stand up. Is it possible I have an ovarian cyst? Or coudl I really have appendicitis without the typical symptoms? I know these are questions for a doc but I’m just hoping to get some answers from some people who have experienced appendicitis and/or ovarian cysts. I am scared. Thank you.

I get ovarian cysts and extremely heavy periods along with horrible cramps. My doctor wants me to take a low-dose birth control pill, but I’m unsure.
I heard it makes you gain weight or could put you at risk for cancer or not having children later on?
Is this true? Should I take it or no? I’m a horrible pill-taker.
