Ovarian cyst?

I have had my period now for eight years and I used to be pretty irregular. Within the past two years, it has become more normal, with a few exceptions. I usually go around 35 days between each period, and my period usually lasts about 5 or 6 days.

In February, I started my period on the 15th and it lasted around 5 days. Then, in March, it came early. It came on March 2nd and lasted 6 days. And now I haven’t had a period since. I don’t know what is going on, and i know i’m not pregnant. I have never had sex before.

My twin sister has had problems with an ovarian cyst for the past two years. She has experienced pain with her cyst. One of her first symptoms was a very irregular cycle. I haven’t experienced any extreme pain, though. I have a slight (and i mean SLIGHT) pain in my left abdomen occasionally, but that is all. I’ve been experiencing ovulation pains for the last week or so. (Slight cramps, water retention, etc.) Should I be concerned?

probably not, but it couldnt hurt to ask your gynocologist about it next time you get a check up.

To be perfectly honest, the only way to stop ovariana cysts is to go on the pill, or something like it. the pill stops you from ovulating, which allows you to 1) have a regular cycle, 2) less pain, 3) no cysts.

I, like your sister, are prone to them and I have actually had to have one removed. (not the most pleasant thing in the world) which is why I am on the pill. cysts are normally non-cancerous, just painful. For the most part, they normally work themselves out of your system o their own(thsu the pain), however, in my case, the cysts dont always do that and thus my surgery.

Your gynocologist would probably have recognized if you had a cyst, however only an ultrasound can determine if you have one for sure.

I have ovarian cysts. They are very painful. If you think you have one you should see your doctor. I had a couple and they ruptured. It was extremely painful. So see your doctor.
