im 14 and im having a sweet sixteen in about a year and the final fitting is always 2 months ahead and i wanna be at my goal weight by then. i gained LOT of weight over the span of 6 months because i had an ovarian cyst and my hormones were bugging out. i also broke my leg an ankle that is just about to heal and im ready to get back to my original weight. is it healthy to lose that much weight?
no , the healthy way to lose weight an keep it off is to lose a pound a week. if your body doesn’t get the nutrients it needs (not eating right) it goes into starvation mode and then everything you put in your body turns into fat an the body stores that because it doesn’t know when its going to get more food
1-2 Pounds per week is safe and healthy. so 10 months, average of 4 weeks per month.
80 is a little high. I would set your goal at 40 and count on that and consider everything else to be a bonus.
you will probably lose quite a bit the first weeks but it will level out. towards the end, you probably won’t be losing much more than 1-3 pounds/week (and doctors say you shouldn’t). when i decided to lose weight (i have always been over weight & am 19 now) i decided to try it in 2 different times. i lost the first 40 lbs & waited for 6 months to make sure that i could maintain it. now i am going to lose the next 30-40 lbs & i think my body will be more ready to lose it since it isn’t all at once.
