Is Planned Parent Hood a good place to go to see what's wrong with me?

I’m not sure if i’m pregnant or if I have an ovarian cyst because many of the symptoms are the same. I took two "1st Response" hpt’s and they both read negative….but I missed my period this month, and sometimes I have a sharp pain only on the left side near my uterus area (especially every-time I lay down and go to bed). I have also gained weight on my sides and stomach, and I spotted a brownish color for 3.4 days, once or twice a day, then stopped, similar to implantation bleeding, I even had a small white discharge once. My breasts are also sensitive similar to pregnancy, and I’ve been more hungry, and food picky…..Could I be pregnant and have an ovarian cyst? or is it one or the other?

I was wondering if Planned Parent Hood would be a good place to go to find out what’s wrong with me. Do they do everything?
Can this even be an ectopic pregnancy?
I know I should have gone to a doctor, but I have absolutely no money right now…i’m waiting on an email from my mom to see if I can barrow some from her, but she’s out of the country for a whole month….i’m trying to get her to wire some money…..I was going to call planned parent hood tomorrow and set up an appointment….

Planned Parent Hood can give you some answers yes. The best place to go though would be your local dr.

Planned Parenthood would be a good place to start. You definitely need to see a Dr as soon as possible, the symptoms you describe could be many things. You could have an ectopic pregnancy, which is a pregnancy in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus. This can be very painful and very dangerous. This could also explain why you’ve had negative pregnancy tests.
Planned Parenthood sees patients on a sliding scale if they don’t have health insurance.
Regardless, the Dr will probably do an ultrasound to look for ectopic pregnancy or ovarian cysts. Good luck and see someone soon.

If money or privacy ( away from your parents is a concern ) start at planned parenthood. You need a trans-vagial ultrasound to see if you have an ovarian cyst or less likely ( due to the negative pregnancy tests ) an ectopic pregnancy. Go soon.

    Hi Mystical Maniac.

I have answered a few of your questions now and can’t believe you still haven’t been to see a doctor. A doctor will answer all your questions quick smart!!! They can take a blood test to see if you are pregnant. If you are and you have pain, then they will maybe do an ultrasound on your abdomen to check what is going on in there and make sure it is not an ectopic pregnancy. Even if you are not pregnant they will probably check for cysts. You need to get yourself to a doctor asap. Go to the after hours doctor if necessary. It is better to pay a bit more and put your mind at rest and protect your health than going onto this website and asking the same question over and over.

Good luck and I’m sure everything will be fine.
