Ovarian Cyst..What can I take for the pain?
I’m very sure that the pain I’m currently feeling is from ovarian cyst. I called my OB/GYN and they can’t get me in until the 16th of January. I was wondering if there was anything I can take for this annoying pain? I also would like some information on ovarian cyst. We want to work on trying to conceive in the next six months or so. Until then should I get on birth control if recommended to help with the cyst? I’m guessing being that I don’t have a regular cycle that its already going to be hard to get pregnant? So wouldn’t taking the birth control and then coming off make it harder? I know these are questions I should I ask the doctor and believe me I will but I just want a little info until then. Thanks so much ladies!
motrin for the pain. Try 600-800 mg. I have pcos. Sometimes bc pills give your ovaries a rest. You will need to be on them at least 3 months. If you are in a hurry to get PG you will need to see a fertiliy special, possibly an endcrinolgist. PCOS ( polycystic ovarian syndrome) can be caused by your ovaries or your pituitary gland. If you are under 30, your dr may reccommend a course of bc pills for 3-6 months and ttc for 6 months after . Then you may get put on clomid. If you are older, they may skip staright to the clomid. You really need to get a referrral to a assited reproductive or fertility specialst who can do a full work up. I have been dealling with PCOS for 15 years. I have 3 kids, all with the help of a specialist. Also, ge the book "taking charge of your fertility".
I had major ovarian cysts and i went to the er i was in so much pain it hurt all the way over to my side i thought it was my appendix they did a scan and it was just a pretty good sized cyst on my ovary they prescribed me muscle relaxers but i was in a lot of pain they worked really well you can take pretty much anything though i had a friend that had the cysts too and her dr told her that her options were to either get put on birth control or get pregnant and she got pregnant and has not had any problems since
