Ovarian cysts or Ectopic pregnancy?? HELP!!?
So I haven’t had a period since july 1st i’ve taken 5 urine tests and all are negative, i’ve had some period like cramping and every so often i have a sharp pain in my left side around my hip bone it sorta feels like a knife stabbing me, i’ve also had pregnancy symptoms like frequent urination, nausea, headaches, some dizziness, moodiness, heavy breast, weight gain (around 7 lbs) backache, constipation……I’m only 22 year old i have been ttc….i have an appointment at the obgyn on monday but i really freaking out now and wanting to have an idea of whats going on!!!! Thanks for your help!!!
ovarian cysts are usually quite painful, I’ve had one before and actually went to the ER because the pain was so bad. the knife like stabbing pains actually sound like how my cyst did, but it was so bad I was in tears and having cold chills while fevering.. it made me really sick. Apparently these types of things come and go though, most women get them but don’t know.
I am 9 days late (nowhere near 56 days lol) and still getting negative pee tests. And I am with the other girl; an ectopic pregnancy can be ruled out for you because you’d be in so much pain you would not be able to walk. i have heard of many women not getting pos pee tests during their pregnancies only because their pee doesn’t process the pregnancy hormone properly or at a high enough rate for the pee sticks to pick up. hang in there, its already been a few months, i hope your doctor has some solid answers for you.
Well, no period since July would probably rule out ectopic pregnancy.. because by now you’d be 3 months along (more or less), and you would be having EXCRUCIATING pain. Ectopics are usually diagnosed very early because they cause EXTREME pain as the embryo grows.
Sounds to me like a cyst. You may also have what is called "PCOS" or Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome which causes multiple ovarian cysts and irregular periods, along with headaches, moodiness, nausea, etc. Ask the Dr. about it and be SURE you get an ultrasound! If needed, call the OB’s office right away and stress to them that you are having pain that feels like it may be a cyst about to burst! Tell them you want an ultrasound to prevent a possible emergency room visit! That ought to scare them into getting you an appointment much sooner than Monday! Again, the key word to tell them is PAIN!! Good luck!
