What causes a period to stop. Don't think I'm pregnant?

I am 18, got my first period at 11 or 12 and they have always been very heavy and I got them every 2-3 weeks. I got my last period in December, right after my wedding. I am not pregnant, haven’t gained/lost any weight, do not exercise excessively, am not depressed, am not stressed, and do not have any ovarian cysts. Any ideas? Anyone else have this problem?
Didn’t you guys read my question? I have NONE of those problems. Can somebody please give me an answer and actually read the whole question?
I went to a doctor. No help. I am just wondering what other reasons there could be.

since you have ruled out a majority of problems that are associated with missed periods… I suggest your doctor and or a hormonal specialist will give you a better answer then here.

I didn’t have one for 6 months once…no explanation why.

    could be stress

or if you have weight problems (being wayy under weight)

    Too much exercise…
    a lot of things

a period follows ovulation, if you are not having a period then you are not ovulating (of course you know that doesn’t mean you can’t start ovulating at any time). If you are trying to get pregnant you should go see a doctor, they will probably put you on clomid to make you ovulate. If you are not trying to get pregnant you should see a doctor in a couple months if you do not get your period for 6 months that is called secondary amenorrhea.
