What kind of pain should i expect with an ovarian cyst?

I’m freaking out because last month I found out I had an tiny ovarian cyst on my right ovary after i got my period for the first time again in 3 months (it’s irregular) and I didn’t even know.
The doctor had the nerve to shrug it off! Now, I’m very worried. I wanted to know if I’m going to lose an ovary or not?
I’m scared senseless.
Also, what pain should i expect? What is normal and what isn’t?
when should i see a doctor?
How long would it stay here? Thanks.
ovarian cysts are extremely common, a lot of people you know are likely to have them, so you really have nothing to worry about at all!
no, you will not lose an ovary if it stays small,
it should be pretty much painless:)
and i think they’re permanent, but as i said up there ^ theres no need to worry!
if, however you start to get severe pain in your abdominal area,
there might be a problem,
your cyst can grow bigger, and in fact twist, which is quite serious
and also not very common,
this did happen to me, but you will know if this has happend as you will be in excruciating pain and will most likely be throwing up because its so bad,
if you go straight to the hospital and they catch it then they can perform surgery on it and your ovary will be fine,
in my case there was a mix up and a switch of shift by the doctors and they sent me home because by the time i got checked out i was under anesthetic. They had to remove my ovary.
but this is extremely unlikely to happen to you so there is really nothing to worry about
and even if worst does come to worst its still possible to have children:) so its fine,
if however you want to reduce the risk of it growing,
you can go on the pill back to back for months on end to stop your period happening.
and therefore have your period every say, five months:)
My opinion is you should change the way of your thinking..
The right way is not to be expecting the pain (my understanding you don’t have any at this time)
but to be expecting this abnormality to disappear due to you attitude and diet changes..
Think yourself healthy
I don’t believe in traditional medicine so don’t know about doctors
