What causes a period to stop?

I am 18, got my first period at 11 or 12 and they have always been very heavy and I got them every 2-3 weeks. I got my last period in December, right after my wedding. I am not pregnant, haven’t gained/lost any weight, do not exercise excessively, am not depressed, am not stressed, and do not have any ovarian cysts. Any ideas? Anyone else have this problem?
That’s nice, but I have always had periods. This is new. And I do want to get pregnant eventually so it worries me that I no longer ovulate.
I went to the doc and all she did was check for cysts.
I would see a doctor, this doesnt seem normal. It could just be nothing, but i would still check in with a doctor just to be sure.
I ve heard of a woman that gets her period every 3 years.. I am not joking
