Ovarian cyst?

I am looking for information about ovarian cysts…real-life stories of people who have had them and ones that burst. I think this has happened to me. How long will the pain last, and is there anything I can do?
I have had numerous ovarian cysts, and yes they can be quite painful. I had a cyst that burst and actually dropped me to my knees. A cyst is a puss filled sac and they usually only hurt when they full, and the pain usually subsides when the cyst bursts. Now the thing is if you are in extreme pain then you should have your doctor do a transvaginal and abdominal ultrasound to find out just the size of the cyst, if it is larger than a kiwi then you should be treated with medication to either reduce the cyst or have it removed surgically. I had one cyst that was the size of a lemon and the Dr gave me medicine that disolved it. I used the heating pad alot and sometimes an ice pack helps. But if you are in severe pain the Dr can prescribe something for you.
I used to have several each year, and they can be very painful. The pain tends to be severe and then pass within 24 hours, I need more info to help if this is not the case. If you are in pain right now,try to get a hot pad for your abdomen, i usually take a couple Tylenol PM to help me sleep through the trauma and keep me from going into shock. When I wake up I am not in pain just very slow and sleepy the next couple weeks while my body heals. I tend to sleep allot. there are things you can do to help your body heal,
email me for more info, or if you want to talk and find out what it is if you have different symptoms.
