I have an ovarian cyst and it hurts frequently but how do i know if its appendicitis pain or my cyst cause if its appendicitis i know you can die if you wait to get it taken care of please help im in alot of pain and im sixteen if that helps at all.
Basically, you have a really bad stomach ache, and it gradually "moves" (over the course of a couple days) to your right side (where your appendix is). I had my appendix out a year ago, so I know what it’s like. It hurts to walk, you feel weak and tired, and you may even vomit (I did every hour on the dot).
Here’s some more information from Web MD.com.
The main symptom of appendicitis is belly (abdominal) pain. The pain can feel like indigestion or like you need to have a bowel movement or pass gas. Many people feel the first pain near the belly button. Then it moves to the lower right side of the belly. But the pain can be in different parts of your belly or even on your side. The pain may get worse if you move, walk, or cough. You may also have a fever or feel sick to your stomach.
The pain may begin around your belly button.
The pain in your belly gets stronger and moves below your belly button on your right side (the lower right quadrant ). This is the most common place to feel pain when you have appendicitis.
Symptoms:
- The pain does not go away and gets worse when you move, walk, or cough.
- You have pain in any part of your belly or on your side.
- You feel nauseated or throw up a few times. You also may not feel like eating.
- You have constipation, back pain, a slight fever, or a swollen abdomen.
If there is any chance that you may have appendicitis…GO TO THE DOCTOR! You don’t want to risk it. The earlier you get it checked out the better.
your doctor can do an xray to check for swelling of the apendix
I get cysts frequently and if you make a triangle shape with your thumbs and index fingers and hold it to your pelvic region that will locate where basically most of your sex organs are, if the pain is around that region then it is most likely your cyst. Your appendix is located on the right side of your body close to above your hip, pretty much near the end of your digestive system. So if the pain is lower than that, it’s your ovary. If not you might want to get it checked out. (I’m not a doctor so I’ve just learned from experience.)
