do i have Leukemia?
I’ve had a history of high white blood cells over the last 3 yrs. (im 21 years old) First, my doctor kept giving me medicines for infections, bacteria. My white blood cell level is still ranging between 11-14.7. I’ve recently been diagnosed with ovarian cysts as well.Lately i’ve been feeling terrible. I have fatigue (really bad!!) I’m always tiired, my body feels verrryyy weak. I get dizzy a lot too. I’m bumping into things and i feel like im going to pass out. I also have a high fever. I DO bruise easily. and the bruises take a while to go away. Basically im having symptoms of Leukemia, the only difference is i have not lost weight. i still weigh my chubby self. (I have gained about 60 lbs in the last 2 years.)
At first i thought these symptoms were because of the cysts, but now i am getting worried because i feel like im going to pass out any second and just die. Please help me because im getting very worried. Also my health insurance just expired and i’m broke. Any sugestions 4 dat?
I want to add that i am not a hypochondriac, thank you very much!! i wouldnt have posted this unless i was seriously worried. i dont want to scare my family, thats why i wanna know more details before i decide to go furthur into trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with me!! -also my doctor had said that she was worried about bone marrow disease.. what would be the symptoms of that?
Hi There,
I hope this might be of some help,I’m in the U.K. I have C.L.L. that is chronic leukemia this condition was first picked up 5 yrs ago,how did it come about? I had large lumps in my neck and under my chin,My doctor sent me for a blood test and through that along with a bone marrow test it was diagnosed.
My symptoms are similar to yours however I to have kept a steady weight, they say that it causes night sweats,I don’t get those, the main ones are the bruising and the fatigue.
over the last 5 years I have been having acupuncture this has helped with keeping my energy up.
I don’t understand how your doctor could not pick up on your red blood cell count as when the red cell counts drops,ie mine went down to 74,I was given a blood transfusion, this consisted of concentrated red cells and platelets, which help get things up to normal, though in my case only for a short while.
I’m now at the stage where I need treatment that I find out this week.
I’m not sure how your system of insurance works over there but another trip to the doc for further blood test must be your next move.
I really hope this has been helpful good luck and god bless.
go to help we are in usa just see your dr
Go to a dr.
This is not the place to be asking about serious life/ death medical issues. You need to be directing your questions to a medical professional. Go to a health department for free medical help, they should also be able to assist you with your insurance problem.
You have a terminal case of "Lazy Hypochondriac Hagen Daaz & Jerry Springeritis"
Go to the ER if you don’t have insurance. My mom has leukemia and her symptoms are nothing like what you’re describing. Seek a professional opinion
You should be tested immediately, because even if it isn´t leukemia, it could be something requiring immediate action!
Isn´t there any kind of free health care in the US? We have some free hospitals in Brazil… there must be some kind of free hospital in the US. I´ve heard that Catholic hospitals give some kind of free health care, could you try one?
Feeling dizzy could be due to the blood pressure. If your pressure is ok, then maybe you are worrying too much. You will definately not gonna sleep well by worrying. Try to sleep more, you will slowly recover back to normal. Also try the Organic Wheat & Barley Grass. Its good for the blood.
Please, stay on to your doctors until your questions are answered. In the meantime, check this site:

Also, check with your local American Cancer Society so they can tell you what resources are available in your area.
Best wishes to you.
