Ovarian cyst pain…?

I have an ovarian cyst which causes me severe pain every few weeks. I’m having a second ultra sound next month to see if it’s getting bigger, smaller or is the same – and from there I will decide with my gynecologist as to whether or not I should have an operation to remove it.

My cyst is 6.5 by 4.6 by 4.3cm. If it ruptured one day, what should I do? My friend had one which was a lot smaller and when hers ruptured she couldn’t walk, eat or even move her hand! If I was to ever experience severe pain from this is it acceptable to call an ambulance and go to A&E?

Thanks in advance =) x

Well, if you’re in england you can call NHS helpline. and they advice if you can go to the A&E or not. But, i”ve had one of those before and it was terrible!!!
I just took a long wash and make sure u wear a pad for a few days. take a painkiller and avoid salty and sugary foods. if it swells a bit then use a cold Flannel.

I had a cyst that was 6.5 CM as well; however, my cyst was removed yesterday. The larger they are, the more dangerous they are to rupture. Large cysts could cause internal bleeding. You need to speak to your doctor and ask them what they think should be done.
