Lower left stomach pain, stomach ache, nausea, bloated stomach. ovarian cyst?
I have had an ovarian cyst before and unfortunately it ruptured and i had to go to the hospital and they just said there is nothing they could do because it was already ruptured. Now, almost a year later, having sharp pains in my lower left stomach that hurt when i sit, stand up laydown or cough. I have an achey yet severe stomach ache that gets worse when i eat, the feeling like im going to throw up, and i have noticed that my stomach is a little ‘puffy’ or bloated. Could this be an ovarian cyst that has not yet ruptured? Havent gone to the doctors yet, but may go today.
Thank you for all the help. =)
I also have problems with ovarian cysts and what you described is exactly what I go through. However, I also have endometriosis, which can also be extremely painful. Has your doctor ever checked to see if you might also suffer from Endometriosis?
If it were me, I would make an appointment with an Ob/Gyn and talk to him/her about your symptoms because while it does sound to me like its ovarian cysts, there are multiple other issues which could also be going on and it is always better to be safe than sorry.
Also, you might want to consider getting on some form of birth control, unless you are currently trying to get pregnant because it can stop the ovulation which is often times what causes the cysts to begin with. I know before I was put on BC pills I was in pain two or three weeks out of the month, now there’s nothing other than the occasional cramping, so it is worth considering. Either way talk to your doctor as soon as possible just to eliminate any other possible concerns.
Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK!
I have small ovarian cysts. I feel the sharp pain on my lower left side. Some days I can barely walk…I’m literally limping because it hurts so bad. I do get bloated, but I’ve never felt nauseated. Then again, mine are small, so I’m sure if yours is bigger, it could cause that.
Talked to my doc about it and he has me taking BC pills constantly (no placebo) to keep me from ovulating. This has helped tremendously…no pain.
If it hurts that bad, I’d call your gynecologist. They can do an ultrasound to see how bad it is and if it needs followup. Good luck…I feel your pain…literally.
It is quit possible, I had some ovarian cysts. My body gave me all the symptoms of a pregnancy, so if your in pain I would go to the doctor.
Cysts come and go every month. It’s the bodies natural way to take care of itself. My doc said you get small cysts around the time of your monthly cycle. It could mean you have another hugh cyst and it hasn’t burst yet. You may want to contact your doc, birth control pills help control cysts from becoming large and burst. Endometrosis is another problem that it sounds like. Call the doctor. I’ve always had problems growing up, had several surgeries for and endometrosis. Take care of yourself and Good Luck at you dr. visit.
