Has anyone out there used Loestrin 24 to treat their PCOS?

After an ultrasound and a bit of conversation my obgyn gave me some Loestrin 24 Fe to take. Previous birth control has made me gain weight, become moodier, and increased my number of ovarian cysts. So, needless to say I am a bit hesitant. Any reviews of this product used to treat Poly cystic Ovarian Syndrome would be appreciated.

Hi! i am 14 years old and I suffer from PCOS. I have had it for about 4 months now. A product you may want to try if the Loestrin 24 Fe is the Nortrel 1/35. I tried the Loestrin 24 Fe and it personally didn’t work to well for me. Here’s my story about PCOS-
I’ve always had irregular periods. I knew something was very wrong when I started not getting period anymore by August 2009. By August I had already had a period every month for 4 years. I went to my General Practitioner and he just said it was cause by 3 things- A. me traveling B. My stress level and C. my hormones. After that doctors appt. i was like is he a freaking moron. ive been traveling, been under a lot of stress, and had hormones since i first started my period and i still kept getting them. In about March 2010 I decided to take action and go to an OBGYN. He ended up telling me that i had a somewhat severe case of an uncurable disease called PCOS. He said that even though it was uncurable it was in deed treatable. He told me that i couldn’t get "rebellious" and just not take the medicine and that if i did get "rebellious" i would most likely not get my period any more and i would have greater risk factors having to do with my health. I have been taking Nortrel 1/35 for about 3 months now and I have already gotten my PCOS under control.

I hope this helped you and/or conforted you to let you knoow your not alone.
