What are the risk of an ovarian cyst?

I have a ovarian cyst on my left ovary, the Dr. told me it was bigger than the ovary itself, is this bad? Do you think i will need surgery to remove it? Iv’e been having pain in my lower back and stomach.

Experiences using TriNessa?

My doctor prescribed OrthoTriCyclen to treat ovarian cysts but my insurance only covers the generic, TriNessa. This is going to be my first time taking birth control pills and I’ve been reading online that people have had bad experiences while on this pill. I’m scared to break out, gain weight, and get all moody. I need to know if this pill is a good idea to take?

Do I have an ovarian cyst?

I’ve had my period for around four years, I don’t remember having any late ones. Now I’m six days late and I’m afraid it’s an ovarian cyst? :(

I know I’m not pregnant.
I’ve been pretty stressed out though, a lot of anxiety lately.
I had slight ovarian pain one day this month, but only for a day?
Why do you think it’s late? If it was a cyst, would the fact that my period is late make it a bad one? D: please help. I’m only sixteen. I’m so worried.

How do I know if I have an ovarian cyst?

I have this strange pain on my left side. It is like pressure pain ainst my hip bone. It almost feels like a cramp. I have had it ever since I got my period. Does this sound like a cyst or does it sound like something else?
It hurts most when I am sitting down or bending over.
Also can ovarian cyst cause a light period?
The pain has lasted about 4 days now!

PLEASE HELP! Medical Advice about BAD cramps during my period?

I started my period when I was 12 and from the beginning the pain has been unbearable. I’m 22 and just got my first real job and there is no such thing as me taking 2-3 days off every month. I cant take it anymore. I have explored many options already. I’ve already been made aware of the fact that there is a good chance that I’m dealing with some endometriosis and I do get rather large ovarian cysts that usually clear up on their own. I know that there is no guarantee when it comes to the procedures that get rid of the endometriosis and they leave scar tissue as well. I’m not trying to become infertile here. I’m scared for my health because I started at 4 ibprophen every 5 hrs for up to 3-4 days when I was 12…I have since built up quite the tolerance and am now up to 8 every 4-5 hours for 3-4 days. This really scares me for my stomach lining and kidneys. Some doctors seem okay with the amount I’m taking and some definitely are not. So far I have tried 3 different birth controls to help…none of them did. Most recently I used lo seasonique so that I would hopefully be down to 4 periods a yr…it still came every other month and didn’t help with lessening pain at all. I have considered the depo provera shot, however, I have heard some serious horror stories of mood swings and REALLY excessive weight gain. I have changed my diet. I have exercised; at one point I used to run 6 miles a day. I’ve done the yoga. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. I know that these cramps are suppose to get better after having your first child, however, these cramps seem to somewhat run in my family and that has never been the case for any of the other women. PLEASE, I am desperately begging….If anyone has heard of any new procedures, medicines, ANYTHING that could help me PLEASE let me know…especially if you are a Doctor, I live in the KC area and if you know of any progressive Doctors who would be up to the challenge of helping me get my life back you would have my eternal and lasting gratitude…

Ovarian Pain–please read?

I have a history of ovarian cysts and even ovarian polyps and I have also had 2 miscarriage after trouble getting pregnant. I also have extremely heavy heavy periods! Well, the last 2 days I have been in some bad pain and I threw up this morning and really dizzy. I also had weird spotting and brown discharge a week after my period this month and I am still really uncomfortable as if I have a really really really big cyst on my ovaries but I don’t have dr since I moved. I can’t get into a dr until Friday but my husband is saying that now I need to go out of town with him because he has to be gone for 2 weeks so I would not be able to go to my appointment. My question is should I go to the hospital and get checked or what should I do? I am sort of scared and really dizzy right now…what would you do and would could it be?

Possible pregnancy, or possibly something like an ovarian cyst? Help!?

If I am pregnant, I would be either 12 or 16 weeks.
I have had my period consistently though, although the past couple months it has started one day later than usual and has been a little lighter.
Also, I have not experienced any fatigue, or breast tenderness/soreness/darkening of nipples.

However, I have been more emotional than usual, as well as gained weight and have more urgency to pee (embarrassing I even wet the bed twice, something that has never ever happened) and had some leakage, and excessive vaginal discharge. Which are all symptoms of pregnancy, OR could be unrelated and be UTIs or yeast infections.
The biggest thing that makes me wonder if it’s a pregnancy is that when I lay on my back, (for the last two months or so), there is a large, rock hard bulge in the middle of my lower stomach. I can’t suck it in to save my life.
When I stand up, it’s significantly harder to suck in than it used to be.

Could this be pregnancy, even though I’ve had periods and no nausea and no breast enlargement?
Or could it be something else causing my stomach to be so hard, round, and bloated?

Thank you

Ovarian cyst pain getting worse?

Yesterday my OBGYN found a significantly large ovarian cyst… she says it’s blood filled and most likely I have endometriosis. The pain was about a 5 out of 10. She says we will check it in 6 weeks and if it’s not gone we will do surgery to remove it. Today the pain has gotten worse… probably a 7 or 8 depending on what I am doing. I am also extremely nauseaous and dizzy. It’s not a stabbing pain, so I’m not really thinking it has ruptured. It’s the same type of pain, just A LOT worse then it was yesterday. I have taken Motrin and Hydrocodone and neither one does any good. Do you think I should go to the ER?

What would cause an ovarian cyst in a 13 year old?

When i was 13 (im 15 now) i got an ovarian cyst on my left ovary. It was pretty big and it got twisted around 3 times. I never had any symptoms except for one morning i got up before school and i just had a really sharp pain. I had surgery the next morning to remove it. I read up about it because i wasnt really sure what it was and i read that it usually occurs in woman during their child bearing years. What would be the cause of me getting it?

What kind of pain should i expect with an ovarian cyst?

I’m freaking out because last month I found out I had an tiny ovarian cyst on my right ovary after i got my period for the first time again in 3 months (it’s irregular) and I didn’t even know.

The doctor had the nerve to shrug it off! Now, I’m very worried. I wanted to know if I’m going to lose an ovary or not?

I’m scared senseless.

Also, what pain should i expect? What is normal and what isn’t?

when should i see a doctor?

How long would it stay here? Thanks.

Pain with ovarian cysts?

I just recently found out I have a couple ovarian cysts on my left ovary when i had an ultrasound done because I was having sever pain on my left pelvic area all the way to my lower back and hip down to my leg. At first I thought it was my IUD, but after the Doc did the ultrasound he found it was in place. The pain has not gone away and causes me DAILY pain. THe doc told me to wait and come back in a few months to check on it. I feel like I shouldnt need to wait if its causing me this much pain EVERYDAY! anyone else ever had this? Thanks

What is an ovarian cyst and why would I have to go to the doctors if it has ruptured?

If the cyst has ruptured, why do I need to go to the doctors? Doesn’t that mean it will go away? I was in so much pain last night…

Is it okay to have an ovarian cyst while pregnant? what are the risks?

I’m about a month pregnant (NOT in my plans because I was just waiting for my period to get the IUD put in). I had an ectopic pregnancy back in January, so I couldn’t have the baby. While I was at the ER they also found an ovarian cyst. Well I got pregnant again and not only has the morning sickness kicked in HARD (nausea, not wanting sweets only pickles, headaches everyday) but I at LEAST once a day have a horrible but horrible pain on my right ovary (where the cyst is). Now I read online that you can have a normal pregnancy with a cyst and I am def. going to go see the doctor soon but I wanted to know if any of you ladies had this issue. I don’t know if it’s normal but I have horrible headaches everyday (Before pregnant, I NEVER ever had headaches), I have nausea and tiredness every single day, the cyst pain is pretty constant, sweets make me sick, I don’t have an appetite but I make myself eat and then I feel sick afterwards. It’s hard to work and not be tired or have a headache,…this pregnancy is just very hard on me right now. What could be the outcomes of this? Would the doctor recommend a termination of the pregnancy or would she provide me with medicine to ease the pain the cyst is causing?
