Does ovarian cysts cause abdomen pain?

Upon the results of an ct scan cysts were found on my wife’s ovaries. She has been experiencing pain in her abdomen. All test have ruled out gall bladder, kidneys, pancreas problems.

what could this be? an ovarian cyst maybe? cervical? i have severe stabbing pain in my pelvic area?
