I have had an ovarian cyst before and unfortunately it ruptured and i had to go to the hospital and they just said there is nothing they could do because it was already ruptured. Now, almost a year later, having sharp pains in my lower left stomach that hurt when i sit, stand up laydown or cough. I have an achey yet severe stomach ache that gets worse when i eat, the feeling like im going to throw up, and i have noticed that my stomach is a little ‘puffy’ or bloated. Could this be an ovarian cyst that has not yet ruptured? Havent gone to the doctors yet, but may go today.

Now the pain seems like it is moving over to the right… I still have had no fever within the last few days. My appetite has not changed, but it hurts alot right after i eat something.

I have had this pain in my left side for about 5 days. I had a cyst on my left ovary about 4 months ago and it ruptured. So I am not sure if this is another cyst, I am having the same symptoms like pain with sex, discharge and having to pee alot but no real pain yet. I have no health insurance so I just dont want to waste the $ for nothing b/c the only thing the doctors can do is wait until it ruptures…right???

hi im 17 years old and a week ago i found out i had a 5 cm solid cyst on my right ovary i’ve been in pain for about 4 months can you belive they only found it last week…well they dont even know if its bleeding or not and my docotr said just wait for it to go away the problem is im in severe pain to the point where i dont want to move right now its an ongoing pain when i go to the bathroom when i lay down and sit down..do you think the doctors right for jsut letting me sit here in extreme pain for 6 weeks untill they check it again or should they remove it? please tell me what you think its greatly appreciated

the last 4 days i have felt realy sickly constantly, and got really bad stomach pains,
i eat alot of food even though i am only 6st 9. And its not toilet pains or anythink like that, ann the last 2 days i have had really bad migraines,
My mum took me the doctors an they said they would organise a scan for me because they feared i may have an ovarian cyst, Is that bad ?x
when i also went the doctors they took a wee sample and found protein and keytones in my urine and also said i could be diabetic , because i am not gaining weight, an i am eating more food than i should, ? i dont no what to do anymore, People are alsoo skitting me sayin i dont eat and i am anerexic when i no i am not, and i eat alot more food than most of them eat, But if you actually look at me stomach it is nicely toned an i have a 2 pac, my mum says there jealous xx

i thought since she was my mom she was suppose to repsect me no matter what. but all she ever does is tease me about being fat and make bad comments. She did the same last year when i had an Ovarian cyst. the doctors think i have another. meaning once again the weight i gained wasnt my fault. yet she still makes fun of me.

ALL the time she tells me i’m fat. calls me "fatty" and "The fat daughter" even though i have a sis who is over 250 pounds!

she always makes jokes telling me i look pregnant and stuff. i’ve told her countless times that it hurts me. and she wont stop because her and her husband(my step dad) think its funny, and fun to tease me.

earlier today i found out i was babysitting, i asked my mom when the baby was comeing. she pointed to my stumach and said "why dont you tell me Fatty?"

and than got mad at me and told me to get the hell to my room because i cryed over it.

I dont see why she cant just respect me and be nice. I cant help the fact that i look huge from having an Ovarian cyst. I really cant.

before i had the Ovarian Cyst. I was 130. she teased me than about looking like a boy. She always finds something. And I cant lose Weight until i have this Ovarian Cyst removed. the last one was 30 some Cm when removed. they think this one will be bigger.

My husband and I in summer of 2006 decided to try to start a family. Shortly after I got a positive on my pregnancy test. A week later I started bleeding. I went to the doctor’s right away, after a series of tests, and ultrasounds they determined I had an ovarian cyst. I had what was called a "false positive" on my pregnancy test.

Two months later I had the cyst and my right ovary removed. My left ovary is still intact. I was put on the pill again. Throughout this whole process I have gained weight, and hated the way I felt when I was on the pill.

The doctors told us that we should have no problem conceiving. We have now been trying for over a year. As of today, I am about 8 weeks late with my period. (I have always had it like clock work, I’ve never missed my period). I’ve taken a few pregnancy tests and they have come up negative.

I was just wondering if anyone else has been through something similar. I’ll be seeing a doctor in the next few days.

Just to add, that 8 weeks really isn’t that long. I’m barley hitting the second missed period. Calling in to see a doctor, they won’t even see you if you haven’t missed at least one or two cycles. Everything I’ve researched and asked reveals that docs won’t even see you till you’re at least 6 weeks late. I’m two months late as of yesterday (2 months = 8 weeks)

Oftentimes they’ll tell you to wait. I also wanted to be sure I wasn’t going to start my period.

I just want to see what you all think these symptoms could be, so far the only thing I have found is ovarian cyst, but I want to know if there is anything more that have the same symptoms. Thanks.

My mother has been suffering this pain for almost two years, the doctors keep sending her for exams and more exams, but we never get a response, she is tired of all this and really can’t take it anymore. The doctors keep telling her that there’s nothing, but if there was nothing, why is she suffering so much. I would like to gather up some ideas that maybe the doctor could look for, rather than her to go and they figure it out. Anyways, thanks, any ideas is appreciated.

Severe pain continually
A sensation of pressure or fullness in the lower abdomen or pelvis
Pelvic pain during menstrual periods
Pelvic pain following sexual intercourse
Vaginal spotting or pain
Pressure or pain when urinating or having a bowel movement
Nausea and vomiting
Weight gain(swallow/inflated)
Aches in the thighs and lower back
Constant Urination
Breast tenderness

About a month and a half ago i had my appendix removed,and the doctors told me they discovered an ovarian cyst.I Then also got an infection after the surgery on my wound which was rather bad and had to have it drained.2weeks later I still carried on getting extremely bad pelvic pains and vomitting and had an ultra-sound and the nurse said it was still there.Now the doctors arent sure whether to let me have the surgery,even though i have extremely bad pelvic pain and its interupting with my life and i miss time off college.I’ve also gained weight because of it and missed my period and generally feel unwell because of it.I dont know what to do.

Has anyone else been in this position?
or Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do?

I was detected with ectopic pregnancy , as the doctors couldnt find fetus they had done an emergency surgical procedure and removed hemorrhagic cyst which was causing acute pelvic pain (left ovary)
after 2 DAYs and another ultrasound later, they still couldn’t find a fetus and advised me that I take a shot of methotrexate to dissolve pregnancy.
It’s been 3 weeks now, and I have suffered from chest pains, vomitting etc etc..but the thing that is bothering me the most is that I still have acute pelvin pain and the pain is shooting through my left leg. The pain increases and it is worst at night. (even painkillers dont help. )

I have repeatedly asked my doctor about this and they seem to be convinced that it could be due to bruising during surgery or blood clot

I have couple of questions, and I will appreciate if you have any knowledge or prior experience and can guide me

1. is this kind of pain normal? if yes, will it go away after few weeks/,months?
2. are there any time of exercise that i should do to get rid of these pains
3. if it is indeed due to blood clotting is there anyway it can be cured

4. should i check with my doctor again, and are there any other type of test i should request them to do?

Okay for the last month I noticed I have been constantly bloated. It just all of a sudden happened one day. 2 weeks after the bloating started I got a sharp, stabbing pain on my left side right next to the pelvic bone. I have only gained maybe 3 pounds. My pants are fitting tighter. I am only bloated in my stomach area, no where else. I was worried I was gaining weight, so I cut calories and started working out for the last 2 weeks. I have lost no weight, my side still hurts (by my pelvis) and I am still bloated. I was worried so I took a pregancy test, it came out negative. I am on birth control and take it religiously. So what else could it be…I looked up my symptoms on WebMD and found things like ovarian cysts and cancer…has anyone else had this problem before?
By the way I am 22 years old, I have 2 kids already, and am not overweight. I also have a doctors appointment on Thursday, I was just wanting to see what someone else thought.

For the last week or two I’ve had on and off type pain and it bothers me every day and is sometimes very sharp. I heard that most cysts go away by themselves (mine got smaller) but I’m concerned about ovarian cancer and there’s a huge cancer history in my family but so far no ovarian cancer and my hysterectomy was not for cancer. I read that some benign cysts will require treatment in that they do not go away by themselves, and in quite rare cases, others may be cancerous. I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts about five or six years after my (TVH/kept both ovaries) total vaginal hysterectomy. I didn’t have symptoms of ovarian cysts when they were first diagnosed and the doctor ordered the ultrasound and kept an eye on the cysts with updated ultrasounds.The last ultrasound about three years ago showed the cysts got small enough and I didn’t need further ultrasounds.

1. Anyone have advice on dealing with the pain and would heat help if surgery isn’t indicated?

2. If it’s not gas or appendicitis I’m experiencing does anyone know what can be done for them besides taking out the ovary?

One doctor I didn’t like or agree with recommended I get my ovaries removed because of the history of cysts and I didn’t see him for that problem and he refused to help me with why I went in there and think he was just trying to get more money (the wait was over 3 hours in his office).Three other doctors agreed to not take out my ovaries including my surgeon if it wasn’t cancerous as it could prevent me from going into surgical menopause.

3. I’ve never had symptoms of menopause but does anyone know if estrogen if needed again would help prevent the cysts from getting bigger if present again or would it just feed ovarian cysts?
I was put on the estrogen patch 5 years later because my blood work showed I was low on estrogen and I didn’t have any symptoms of menopause. I was taken off the estrogen patch after it was thought that the narcotic pain meds I was taking for disc injury and muscle spasms could have caused the abnormality of the amount of estrogen in my system. Well I had some ovarian cysts about 1 year and a half ago. Unfortunately for me, had a lot of scar tissue and the doctors told me that it would be hard for me to conceive. Well me and my ex didnt use protection and he just let go in me and it was no big deal. I didnt get pregnant. That went on for a year. Started dating new boyfriend and condom busted on us twice. We then decided to quit using rubbers and he lets go inside. Well we been doing that for three months now. Everyone has been talking about my weight gain and ive noticed it too. Then my nipples got super sensitive. Just a small brush sent pain. My boyfriend said he thinks Im pregnant. Well my period just came on on the 13th and I was baffled. It usually comes on at the end of the month. Its like a regular period just earlier than usual. When I woke up this morning my boyfriend said that I was burning up. He asked me was I running a fever. No morning sickness or feeling tired. Come on Ladies tell me your thoughts on this……

I have not went back in for my follow up ultrasound but I am worried that they will find something really wrong because of the pain that I am still in. The cyst was 5 centimeters when it ruptured and the doctors say that the fluid left behind would cause some discomfort until it all got absorbed, but I am afraid that this pain is indicative of something else. Any ideas on how long it takes to recover from this or if it might be something else?
The pain is all of the way across my lower abdomen and it comes and goes but it sometimes severe. The ovary that had the cyst was the right ovary. Tylenol does not work and Ibopfren only works slightly.

I was rushed to the emergency room a few months ago, the doctors thought it was my appendix, come to find out it was an ovarian cyst. The pain was horrible, The doctor said that when the cysts pasted, I would most likley get another one.My Question is:

When is the most likley time for another cyst to happen? a few months?, years?
