HELP!
my husband & i had sex without a condom several times in the past three weeks.
(were trying to get pregnant)
Lately,i have been having this dull pain in my lower left abdomen.it does not spread, and it increases if i laugh or sneeze.i have also had very loose, almost water like discharge. (sorry if this is TMI) i have also been having very bad gas, irritability,a fullness feeling in my lower abdomen, headaches, and recent tummy aches.i have not thrown up,been nauseated, or had any sign of morning sickness whatsoever, although i read that diarrhea is/can be morning sickness.
awhile ago,i did have these same pains on the right side, and after that, the left again though.this was a few months ago, though.i am trying to figure out if these are signs of an ovarian cyst, (my mother got them a lot when she was my age, every month or so) or if i am really pregnant, even though if i was,it would only be a week or two into the pregnancy.
any advice or help or ANSWERS would be great!

I hurt my back few weeks ago and my new chiropractor couldn’t fix it. After 2 weeks I went to my old chiropractor and she did some massage therapy and relieved a huge chunk of my pain. However i still have cramping-like pain in my lower back, shooting into my lower abdomen. It is very exhausting and uncomfortable pain. She also sent me for ultrasound of my ovaries because i have some crazy pain in my left ovary during first few days of my period (shoots into my leg etc…) and they found 3.5 cm cyst on my left ovary. I have an appointment on Monday but till then I am trying to figure out if i still need the massage therapy or if this lower back pain is maybe the cyst-related. Also my other question is - is 3.5 cm cyst a big deal or is it somewhat normal size… It just sounds big.. thank you for taking time reading

For about 3 to 4 days I’ve been having this pain on my lower abdomen, usually on the left side but from time to time it switches to the right. I can have the pain on my left side and with a matter of minutes it switches to the right. The first day I got the pain it was pretty bad but nothing unbearable. As the days have gone by the pain has been less and less and less frequent as well. I was thinking maybe it was because I was ovulating but I don’t really know when I begin to ovulate, according to this ovulation calculator it says :High fertility, begin significant fertility 11/25/09 and then it says ovulation end significant fertility 11/30/09. The pain started on the 25th but I don’t know what those dates mean or anything, I don’t know how to read the whole thing and I don’t remember ever having pain on my ovaries like this before due to ovulation. I’ve been having more discharge lately, it’s a white color. And I sometimes tend to get PMS symptoms 2 weeks early, so I thought maybe they are just cramps. I’ve also been feeling a bit nauseous. But this girl told me that it is an ovarian cyst. So from what I have described what does everybody think?
I’ve read on many websites that pain during ovulation is normal and that there is something called mittelschmerz, a German word that means “middle pain.”
Also I don’t know if this means anything but 3 almost 4 months ago I took a Plan B pill since I had an accident with my boyfriend, I know I’m not pregnant, I’ve taken 3 pregnancy test(took one today in the morning) all of them came out negative and I’ve had 2 blood test done also and my doctor didn’t tell me anything about being pregnant. I know that the pill can mess with your system so could this have some part in it as well? The pain that I got was somewhat similar to menstrual cramps, but the pain is pretty much non existent anymore, I only get mild pain at least twice a day, and the longest it last is 2 to 4 minutes.

I got a very sudden stabbing, heavy pain in the center of my lower abdomen this evening. i thought it might be a uti because i also had the feeling of pressure above my urethra. the pain got to about an 8 or 9, and then dissipated. it still hurts when i move or when i am in the car and we hit a bump, but it has moved a little to the right side. I’m a 17yo female. i have a history of ovarian cysts, but does the pain of a rupture dissipate more or less after a rupture? The fact that it was a sudden onset makes me think that maybe i should go to the hospital and get it checked out…anyone who knows what this may be?

I have been having the following symptoms lately: pain in my lower abdomen and lower back, pain in the area where my ovaries are, I have to go to the bathroom more than usual, and I have suddenly gained enough weight where my clothes don’t fit. I have been off the pill for almost a year but lately my periods have been lighter than usual. Anyone have any idea what it could be? Ovarian cysts? Fibroid tumors? I have an appt. with my doctor, but just thought I would ask here for opinions.

I just want to see what you all think these symptoms could be, so far the only thing I have found is ovarian cyst, but I want to know if there is anything more that have the same symptoms. Thanks.
My mother has been suffering this pain for almost two years, the doctors keep sending her for exams and more exams, but we never get a response, she is tired of all this and really can’t take it anymore. The doctors keep telling her that there’s nothing, but if there was nothing, why is she suffering so much. I would like to gather up some ideas that maybe the doctor could look for, rather than her to go and they figure it out. Anyways, thanks, any ideas is appreciated.
Symptoms:
Severe pain continually
A sensation of pressure or fullness in the lower abdomen or pelvis
Pelvic pain during menstrual periods
Pelvic pain following sexual intercourse
Vaginal spotting or pain
Pressure or pain when urinating or having a bowel movement
Nausea and vomiting
Weight gain(swallow/inflated)
Aches in the thighs and lower back
Constant Urination
Breast tenderness

Well actually I’m gonna be 14 on the 12th.
I have been having a bad cramp/bone-ache in my left lower abdomen.
I couldn’t sleep last night because it got so bad, so my mom took me to the E.R, they did a ultrasound and said I have an ovarian cyst. The doctor prescribed me some Vicodin for the pain and said the cyst should go away on its own, and that later I will have to take birth control and see an OBGYN (I dont even know what in the world that is?) But when I got home I took my vicodin but it isnt helping anything!
I’m still in very bad pain! It hurts bad!!!! And when I pee it is bloody because while I was there they put a tube into my vagina and put water into it,and I started bleeding, (is it possibel they broke my hymen? cuz it hurts like heck still and its out and I bled a lot)
so the point is, does anyone have any idea what I should do for pain because it feels as bad as when I went in. the meds arent working.
and do you think when they put the tube in me, is it possible they broke my hymen?
I was also wondering if you think that I just maybe took another half of a pill it would work better?

I had a hysterectomy in 97. I had my hysterectomy due to being pre-cancerous and also menustrating for 28 days each month for over a years time. Everything was removed except my right ovary. Since my surgery I have had significant weight gain, constant back and abdominal pain, and 9 yrs. later I still have no feeling where the scar is. Now I go back in for surgery once again in a few days to have my right overy removed and to have exploratory surgery due to all the scar tissue and other damage due to my hysterectomy. In the last 4 weeks I have been in so much pain, that at times it is unbearable. It is mainly in my lower abdomen and on the right side, but also continues to my left side and lower back. Sometimes it feels like labor pains. I was told that I had 6 cysts on my right ovary and that I have an 80% chance that this is ovarian cancer. I have had numerous tests done recently and alot of unexpected weight gain? Will my body?stomache ever get back into shape?

I have at least one ovarian cyst. It’s on my right ovary and it used to be over 5 cms but I feel like it’s only gotten bigger.. But I just went in for another ultrasound a few days ago and I think I saw another cyst on my left ovary but they couldn’t tell me because I have to wait until my appt on friday. But this past week I’ve been have pain on each side. Like on my ovaries.. And I usually have pain on my right one that is like a cramping pain.. But now it’s like it’s being pushed on pain.. Like I have to go to the bathroom a lot because it hurts on my right lower abdomen if my bladder gets at all full.. Is this because my cyst is way bigger now?
Also. It doesn’t just hurt if my bladder is full. It hurts when I walk. Like I can feel something weird being pushed on..

I am concerned about this severe left side lower back and abdominal pain I keep experiencing. It comes every couple of weeks and lasts around 12 hours. It is agony. I am doubled up rolling on the floor and it feels like I am having one long continuous contraction. I had my third baby 5 months ago with just gas and air so I know what pain feels like!! I went to the hospital but they gave my a painkilling injection and told me to see my GP. I went to my GP who referred me back to the hospital for an ultrasound but I have been told I could be waiting weeks for that. When the pain eases I am left feeling battered and bruised internally and my lower abdomen is very tender to the touch. Could this be cysts?

I have not went back in for my follow up ultrasound but I am worried that they will find something really wrong because of the pain that I am still in. The cyst was 5 centimeters when it ruptured and the doctors say that the fluid left behind would cause some discomfort until it all got absorbed, but I am afraid that this pain is indicative of something else. Any ideas on how long it takes to recover from this or if it might be something else?
The pain is all of the way across my lower abdomen and it comes and goes but it sometimes severe. The ovary that had the cyst was the right ovary. Tylenol does not work and Ibopfren only works slightly.

For the past week or so I have had this dull aching pain in my lower abdomen and lower back, it hurts really bad when I try to "bear" down in my lower abdomen it kind of feels like a pulled muscle? Also, during intercourse (usually the deepest) I get this stabbing pain but it only last a second like I have hit something in there. I have bad cramps when I get my period but thats normal along with the flow. I have had this pain on and off for almost two years now coming and going. I have been to the doctor and they have never mentioned anything about a cyst. A couple months ago I thought I was pregnant but never could get a positive test result but I, gained weight, had sore breast, sensitive smell and taste, swollen stomach, blue veins, and irregular spotting periods and then a super heavy flow with massive tissue came so I thought I had a miscarriage. But reading some answers on here sounds exactly what I have. If anyone has any info I would really appreciate your input. Thanks!

I’m 17 and sexually active.
I’ve been on birth control since I was 13, because otherwise I would have two periods a month. I started out on the patch, then learned how dangerous it could be, and switched to ortho tricyclen. Only a few months ago did I switch to Yaz. About five months ago I developed a pain in my lower abdomen which turned out to be an ovarian cyst the size of a softball (not exaggerating). Instead of doing anything drastic they put me on Yaz, hoping that since it’s stronger it would get rid of the cyst. Amazingly, it worked, and I’ve been on Yaz ever since.
The problem is, the past two months or so, I’ve been getting really weird symptoms.
I’ve been getting insane cravings. Tonight, for instance, I really really wanted a turtle cheesecake from the restaurant we were at. I’ve only eaten cheesecake once in my life, and I’ve never been overly fond of it. I’ve also been emotional on and off. I felt very sad when my little sister popped the legs and head off of her balloon ladybug. It’s ridiculous.
The thing is, I’m NOT pregnant. It’s been going on for more than a month, in which I’ve had a period, AND taken a pregnancy test, which was negative.
I’m thinking the bc might really be making my body think I’m pregnant. But if I switch back to a weaker one, I might get cysts again! What do I do?
