pain from ovarian cyst?

i went to my college’s ER and just found out I have 2 cysts on my right ovary, both about 2 cm long. they only told me i had cysts and to see a doctor on campus. they said it probably doesn’t need to be removed, but i’ve been having constant, aching pelvic pain for the past couple of days. will this pain always be here if i don’t have them removed? is it possible these cysts will just go away on their own?

Could I have an ovarian cyst?

I’m 17 years of age and have had my perdiod since I was 11.
I’ve NEVER had it regular. It has always been 2-3 months late, never on time.

For years now I’ve always had the tenancy to use the restroom ALOT especially when going out with friends or long drives and when I get nervous.

I checked the symptoms and I have ALOT of them, especially the past 2 weeks [my period hasnt came since October.]

pressure, swelling, or pain in the abdomen
[I was freaked that it was appendicitis, but I've had these symptoms and went to the hospital and they said nothing was wrong and my appendix was perfectly fine.]

pelvic pain
[I feel little pains every so often by my ovaries]

dull ache in the lower back and thighs
[I actually just woke up with this and had some of it last night. I thought it was cause I sleep late]

problems passing urine completely
[not often, but sometimes]

pain during sex
[im not active]

weight gain
[I have gained a bit, my im still underwieght for my age]

pain during your period
[ALOT! Especially cramps omg!!]

abnormal bleeding
[no]

nausea or vomiting
[lots of nausea. I thought it was cause I slept late alot]

breast tenderness
[maybe cause my period is coming?]

you can say it’s cause my period is coming, but this ALWAYS happens. Im going to see a doctor soon, but everytime I do, he says nothing is wrong. They did an ultrasound on me a couple months ago and I heard them say they found something but arn’t sure what it was but knew it wasnt dangerous cause it was small, they said it was proably harden stool….could it be a cyst? and could that be the reason why I pee alot? lol [you have NO idea how sick I am of that =( we're going snowboarding in Feb with friends, but I don't want to go cause of the "pee" problem =( ] help! I;m SOOO tired of this!!

Is there anything organic I can try?

Ovarian cyst with pelvic pain?

I had an ultrasound done about a month ago to determine the cause of my pelvic pain. They found a cyst that is 5×6cms, and I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks to see if it has reduced in size or gotten bigger. I am due to get my period tomorrow, and am having severe, sharp pains in my pelvis. I know ovarian cysts can cause pain, but is it normal to have sharp pain very low in the pelvic area? It feels like it is almost right inside my vagina, not near the ovaries. This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten this pain; every few months I get it at the start of my period, but last month, the pain continued for a long time, so that is why I went to the doctor about it. So really my question is whether this pain is because of the cyst, or is it likely to be being caused by something else? Thanks.

Question about ovarian cancer symptoms?

Can ovarian cancer cause swelling, pain and pressure on the vagina and rectum to where you can sit in a chair straight.
Pain that runs down left inner thigh, lower back pain, pain in sides, and pelvic pain. Also, I have been gaining weight since January.

I have masses and ovarian cysts. One of these measure 9.7 hounsfield units. What is that? The doctor did a CA-125 test, ct scan, colonoscopy, and ultrasound inner and outer. I go back on Monday, and I can’t sleep.

I had a partial hysterectomy in 2002.
Also, My aunt was diagnosed in 2003 and died in 2004. She gained weight also. She weighed 400lbs and had gained weight when she died. She had a cyst the size of a mellon that busted during exploratory surgery. So, I am scared right now.

I am freaking out, and crying too because you can not bear children, I have the irregular periods [sometimes they for a week but only for half of each day] and i have the acne [runs in family though] and sleep apnea because i sometimes just quit breathing when i am trying to go to sleep….and i do got all the increased hair on me but its not on the neck. and i used to have depression. i am pretty tiny though.

do u think i can have it?!

Not all women with PCOS share the same symptoms. These are some of the symptoms of PCOS:
* infrequent menstrual periods, no menstrual periods, and/or irregular bleeding
* infertility (not able to get pregnant) because of not ovulating
* increased hair growth on the face, chest, stomach, back, thumbs, or toes—a condition called hirsutism (HER-suh-tiz-um)
* ovarian cysts
* acne, oily skin, or dandruff
* weight gain or obesity, usually carrying extra weight around the waist
* insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes
* high cholesterol
* high blood pressure
* male-pattern baldness or thinning hair
* patches of thickened and dark brown or black skin on the neck, arms, breasts, or thighs
* skin tags, or tiny excess flaps of skin in the armpits or neck area
* pelvic pain
* anxiety or depression due to appearance and/or infertility
* sleep apnea—excessive snoring and times when breathing stops while asleep
please help i am totally bummed out

What is my diagnosis?

Need help. Burning/throbbing pain in upper abdomen/back/chest. Very severe. 1st attack was a couple weeks before I found out I was pregnant in 2006. Left until 12/07 and ongoing. I had my gall bladder removed, no relief. Was put on nexium, librax, and carafate. I cannot find a corralation between pain and foods, but chaged my diet anyway. CT scans, MRI, angiogram all normal - did find ovarian cyst and fluid in pelvis, but no pelvic pain. Pain comes 1-4x per week, can last for 15 minutes to days. Intermittant, comes and goes throughout day. No pain reliver can help except morphine in the hospital - kinda feels like back labor. Help!
i have numerous doctors appts coming up for everything and a colonoscopy in october. reflux has been ruled out but i do have mild gastritis and have had h pylori. liver enzymes have been high - also numbness/tingling in finger tips - its a mystery

Has anyone had Ovarian Cysts or PCOS?

I have been nauseas/vomiting daily for four months. Over the past year I have gained 50 pounds, when I eat healthy and exercise almost daily. I was never thin, but was in shape and now I can’t lose or even maintain my weight, as well as I get lil’ bumps on my arms and feet, sometimes neck (almost like a hive), facial hair, and pelvic pain. Originally I thought it was stress, but after a whiel I felt I needed to go to the dr. I went to my regular Dr. he did a blood test where it came back that i had a 120 testosterone level. My dr. told me I may have PCOS or possibly ovarian cancer. I then went to the gyno and he did an exam and said that he doens’t think it is PCOS because my menstral cycle is ok. He did say he thinks he feels cyst/s. I am going in a few days for a ultra soudn and vaginal probe, but I was wondering in the meantime if anyone has had any similar symptoms, my biggest concern is the excessive weight gain and vomiting.

Can Ovarian Cysts be dangerous?

For the last 7 years I have had problems with Ovarian Cysts on my right ovary. I have multiple other symptoms as well such as dandruff, hair loss, weight gain in the abdomen, depression, insomnia, hot flashes, spotting after orgasm/intercourse/exercise, extreme thirst and urination, and dark patches on my knees, ankles, and wrists.
I had my hormones tested and a blood sugar test and everything came back fine. So, they sent me away.
Now the last few days I have had extreme pelvic pain, a very sore right ovary, a twisting shooting pain down my right leg, mixed bright red/dark brown spotting, and this intense pressure pressing down on my uterus or cervix.
I know it is another Ovarian Cyst because it felt just like this the previous times that I have had them. I’m just worried about the amount of pain that I am having.
Could these cysts be dangerous if they twist or rupture? Is there something I should be looking out for? And last but definitely not least, does anyone know of a way that I can relieve some of this pain?
Thanks!

For the past five years, I’ve been experiencing pelvic pain similar to menstrual cramps (but worse) beginning the day after I ovulate and extending for the next two weeks until I begin my period (at which time regular menstrual cramps are actually a relief). The pain will come (very quickly) and go and may happen several times a day for two weeks or just a couple days within that time. It never happens before I ovulate or after I start my period.

It’s been getting worse and worse and I have to take Ibuprofen now to cope with it. I’m trying to figure out what it is. I thought for a long time that it was endometriosis, but I’m beginning to think that it could be ovarian cysts. A couple of months ago, the pain was almost nonexistent! I had just recently stopped eating all animal products and thought that had done the trick, but next month it was back and I was extremely discouraged.

I don’t want to go to the doctor for treatment because they will either want to do surgery, tell me to get on birth control, or tell me to keep taking painkillers. The pain disrupts my life (like waking me up in the middle of the night when I have to be up early the next day), but so does taking medicine because then I’m groggy and out of it and can’t function correctly.

Lately I’ve begun to think that perhaps the condition is being exacerbated by chocolate (and all caffeine products, but I don’t drink coffee). I haven’t eaten chocolate for the past few days and the cramps have been mild enough that I haven’t had to take any Ibuprofen. My mom has fibrocystic breast disease and can’t eat chocolate because the caffeine and tannins in it will inflame the cysts and cause her to be in extreme pain for days. I was wondering if it could do the same for ovarian cysts?

The information out there seems to just talk about sever pain during menstruation or mittelschmerz ovulation pain but nothing for pain that happens in the two intervening weeks. Has anyone else experience what I’ve described? Does anyone know anything about the link between ovarian cysts and chocolate or caffeine? Do my symptoms sound like endometriosis or ovarian cysts or something else? I would really like to find a natural treatment for this and I’m almost positive that it has something to do with diet. I love love love chocolate but I would give it up if it meant getting my life back two weeks out of five.

A 4 cm ovarian cyst exists while on either birth control pills, or nuvaring. The doctor says it is a follicular cyst, yet all my research shows that hormones prevent and shrink ovarian cysts.
Pelvic pain/pressure has existed for several years, and many tests and procedures show nothing other than 1 cm fibroid & the cyst.
